7:07- Meeting called to order by Russ

7:08-Pledge and prayer  

7:10- Russ announced that Gus had been appointed as the new Treasurer.

7:11- Minutes of the last meeting were approved.

7:12- Tia announced that a beekeeping class would be given during May at the Boufort Main Branch Library.

7:14- Julian Wooten announced that the summer meeting agenda may be viewed on the State Association web site.

7:20- Mr. Julian Wooten was introduced as guest speaker. He spoke on a variety of subjects including: Bear fences, How to improve weak colonies, Spliting colonies, Late necter flow, Queen rearing, Feeding & Feral Colonies.

8:26- Break time.

8:44- 50/50 drawing. Club received $21.00.

8:45- Meeting adjorned.

1. The Spring Meeting in Rockhill was discussed & members were directed to

2. Russ reminded the members that annual dues are now due.

3. Reminder that it was now time to order bees.

4. Volunteers were requested to provide refreshments for future meetings.

5. North Carolina Certified certificates were passed out.

7:15-Mr. Rick Coors was introduced. Mr. Coors gave an excellent presentation on

Hygienic Behavior

7:40-Break

8:00-50/50 Drawing--- club made $23.00.

8:05-Scott and Julie Taylor took questions from club members.

7:05- Call to order by Russ with 62 members & guests present.

7:06- Pledge of allegiance & prayer.

7:09- Reports of the secretary & Treasurer were received & approved.

7:10- Announcements by Russ:
The spring meeting will be in Rockhill. ( See the web site for more info)
Reminder that club dues are due. ($10.00 & $15.00)
Time to order spring bees.
Need volunteers to provide refreshments for future meetings.

7:15- Certificates for "North Carolina Certified Honey" were provided to qualified members.

7:20- Rick Coors made an interesting & informative presentation on "Hygienic Behavior.

7:40- Break

8:00- 50/50 drawing was held. Club share was $34.00

8:05- Scott & Julie & Tia & Russ took questions from members & discussed beekeeping in general.

8:30- Meeting adjourned.

CCBA Minutes Jan. 14, 2013

7:02 PM: The President, Russ, opened the meeting by greeting guests & members and having new members introduce themselves.

7:05 PM: Members recited the pledge to the Flag & a moving prayer was given by J.R.

7:08: The new officers for 2013 were introduced & Tia presented information
a beekeeping school to be conducted on the 19th & 26th of Jan and the 2nd of Feb. (More information is available elsewhere on this website)

Heather & Ryan were thanked for the effort they put in while organizing our great Christmas party.

It was announced that the club dues are once again due.

7:13 PM: A motion was made, seconded & passed that "Annual club dues would in the future cover a 12 month period instead of being due in Jan of each year.

7:15:PM: Mr Craig Foskit from the Craven Club gave an excellent presentation on spring management.

8:05 PM-8:25 PM: Break

8:26PM-8:46PM: A panel of Master Beekeepers answered a variety of question from the members.

8:47PM: The money drawing was held and the meeting was closed by Russ
